Cam Cameron is overrated as far as developing QBs. He is linked to guys like Brees and Rivers, true talents that were destined for greatness with or without Cam. He gets way too much credit even in regards to Mettenberger. He's done zip with Harris and Jennings.

Thank you for invoking logic, reason and rational thinking into this TD Rant mess. Very well said and it provides a great foundation from which to view the real problems.....but logic, etc., don't work well on the Rant..... But thank you anyway !!!

The little passes to Fournette he overthrows every time. How can his arm be so good but not on the short throws?

I'm not sure Fournette is so good at catching them.

Some people just can't throw straight or shoot free throws. Me, for example.

But for real,
I could throw straight to a strike zone from the mound, but I'd throw it over the first baseman's head all the time.

The play wasn't a simple swing pass it was actually a check down bc if it was a swing pass that wr is blocking. So he was instructed to try to get that Corner to bail.

It's all about confidence and trust. He feels great letting it rip and throwing it hard. It comes with practice and time. It's like a HS shortstop who has to throw the ball as hard as he can across the diamond every time. He feels more accurate when he is throwing hard. To me it shows it wasn't practiced much in spring. Things like that are gained by reps and built confidence. I'm a Harris backer, I love the kid and think he can be great with great coaching ( which we pay enough to receive). If I have one worry with Harris it's is he a real winner and a leader, is he competitive and does he thrive off of high competition. The dude has the physical skills and good character which made him a high recruit.

We're acting as though that's all he does poorly. He actually only does a couple of things reasonably well--one being a surprisingly accurate long-ball (most of the time).

Not a great reader/decision maker.
Not a great runner.
Not a great game manager.
Leadership skills in question (though he is young, I suppose).

He can have some influence over the tempo and getting the team lined up and getting the play off on time (of course, LSU has set records in this department since 2009).

I was trying to be nice. I'm glad that he's well-groomed and isn't tatted up, I guess. Seems like a nice, smart kid.

Literally has zero to do with being able to throw a pass under 10 yards without throwing it 20 feet in the air or 75 mph.

I just think it's more to do with the fact it's his first full year as a starter in one of the most difficult divisions in college football.

I believe he'll be a phenomenal quarterback by the time he's finished at LSU.

I like Harris, I think he's by far our best QB, but I saw a few of his HS games as a Sr and was nearly assassinated on this board before last season when I stated that his accuracy was inconsistent.

Yawn....he's been in shotgun a lot. Another know it all that doesn't watch the games.
