So much of bowl performance aligns with motivation
LSU has new coach and new staff to impress
LSU defense wants to show out against Heisman winner
Guice wants to show out to potentially begin accolades for next season
Louisville had great hopes and fell apart at end...slide could continue
LSU is on upswing and UofL on downswing. That is how I see you
What all do you see?

Our biggest deficiency has been defending the power run since Beckwith went down. I'm sure Loserville will try to take advantage, but that isn't the way they are built. They are a finesse team, and that plays to the strength of our defense.
As for the offense, this is basically scrimmage 1 for their new OC. Anyone who wants Canada to have a good opinion of them going into Spring needs to show up and play hard and smart. They have incentive to look good on that film.

quote:True. Heard some talking head say that LSU will be motivated because they came to grips with not having a championship season long ago. The way they played after the Bama loss was different than they have done for the past few years so I would tend to agree with that. Not sure Louisville is over their losses yet.

quote:Probably some truth here. Not sure how much our offense will change but there has been time to hopefully put in a few wrinkles. If our offense can be halfway productive our defense will go off on UL.

quote:Agree 100% with this.
LSU defense wants to show out against Heisman winner
quote:Agree. He has already done that when he broke LF7's single game rushing record. I do believe Guice wants to prove he is "the man". He has played in LF7's shadow but the show is all his now.
Guice wants to show out to potentially begin accolades for next season
quote:Yep. Also, they have the Wake Forest scandal they are dealing with which has been a negative surrounding the program. How do they respond? We will see.
Louisville had great hopes and fell apart at end...slide could continue
quote:Sure hope so. LSU has a lot of positive energy right now. The hire of Canada was great and we've seen this with recruits either affirming their commitments or re-committing to LSU. LSU football does seem to be moving up.
