...this loss, but yet only roast Miles after a football loss and not, say, fournette? Would the fan base be happier if Simmons put up 40 and still lose by 50?

This is a coaching problem. When the players don't want to play for a coach, it's a COACHING problem.

Oh, and the ignorant threads questioning why Simmons played college basketball only exemplify the window watcher basketball fans LSU has who choose to decimate the players instead of the real issue.

You can't be serious. Why the hell would we roast fournette?

Can Simmons go for 200 a night?

Because Fournette runs the frick over people and Ben passes and fouls. Seriously, I like Simmons. He does not have the selfish gene he needed this year. He will be a good pro.

for one, Simmons didn't score 40. Second, Fournette has 1000x more humility than Simmons.

Football and basketball are different sports....

Fournette can't take over a game in the same way a player can in basketball. It's very different.

FYI I'm not part of the Simmons hate crowd...

Fournette takes control. Simmons doesn't. It's simple.

Football is much more of a team sport. Hard to roast a running back when there's bad blocking and no passing game or unpredictable play calling...

Basketball is much more influenced by one superstar

I agree I'm not on the bashing of anyone crowd.

But you can't compare the 2 at all

You must not have been around when Jennings started.

Now yes a quarterback can have more influence and bad play shows through.

Any ways, I don't recall Fournette being at fault for a bad game. He always ran hard. It wasn't his fault he had no where to go in the Alabama game

get out of here with this bullshite. When you watch #7 play you can see how much he wants to win. He's relentless, has heart and does everything he possibly can to get his team the W. He freaking cares. On the other hand, well Bens play speaks for istself

Probably because when LSU in football it's not Fournette's fault. Seeing as he can't play defense. But I have to think that Fournette would put 1000x more effort into defense than Simmons.

Simmons showed his true colors down the stretch.

you have a good point, but actually, Fournette was criticized pretty sharply when we started losing this past year...

the butthurt on this board after a loss knows no bounds...

I'm not comparing the two.

You are missing the point.
