Why do you think TM7's success will continue?

No need to speak of his accomplishments at LSU, they are well documented and I think everyone is in agreement of how great he was for LSU.

There is a track record of mediocrity of D1 players who "drop down" to D II only to become a non-story. Guys who are in trouble and drop down, like Janzen Jackson, theoretically should go to somewhere like McNeese and be a manchild, but it never seems to happen.

Give me your sound reasoning that TM7 will be different...my opinion is he will just be another player at a college with less talent around him because the offense can just plan around him.

I am with you.

I hope I am wrong but I see him degressing because...

1. Lack of media attention
2. No longer playing in front of 90,000+ fans.
3. Little or no TV.

I feel bad for him because he literally went from the penthouse to the outhouse.

Some people's social problems are bigger than their physical talent. I hope this isn't the case here.

He's not "dropping to D II."

McNeese is not "D II."

Because in little old "D II" there's no such things as conference titles and National Titles. They just play I-AA for lollipops and pats on the backs.

If you play any type of sports and you're a competitive guy, you love winning. If you don't, why even play? Just because you're at a lower level, it doesn't mean you just want to go and be a presence.

If he doesn't want to win, I wouldn't want him.

because McNeese will play a 4-2-5 and have him as one of the 3 safeties all yr. sacks, TFLs, and forced fumbles will rain down from the heavens.

LOS stacked. SLC fricked.

Why are you referring to Mathieu as TM7. He disgraced himself and LSU and he is not number 7 anymore!!

I think his biggest problem will be the level of talent he's surrounded by on the field. If he's the only serious threat an offense has to worry about, it may make it easy to counter and play around him.

Janzen Jackson was good, but nowhere near the overall playmaker Mathieu was. Janoris Jenkins was a very good corner and people still paid attention to him, even going in the early 2nd.
Mathieu will still go in the first two and half rounds IMO. I'd love if the Saints picked him up.

And yes, he's going to rack up some serious stats playing against that kind of competition, or at least I'd like to think. I do fear that he'll rely on talent and skill rather than the technical side of things which might hurt his pro prospects

I don't think it really matters where TM7 goes. He's going to flame out on drugs. If he can't get beyond is addition to drugs with all the support he had around him at LSU then how can anyone think he will succeed? His ego is way too big to admit he has a problem.
He thinks he is in control when he's actually not. His actions and tweet/comments back this up.
