Why do we run on first down 100% of the time?

The game is 60 minutes long, the season is 12 games long. Establish predictable patterns and then depart from them opportunistically.

This. I say if the conversion percentage (touchdowns) in the red zone was higher you wouldn't be asking this question.

Game play by play

counted at least 7 first down runs w/2 yds or less.
almost predictable with the fullback formation.

OP doesn't understand concept of 100%, we had several 1st down play action passes last night.

When they decided to run wasn't the problem. Their running numbers ended up looking respectable. Our line play on the pass plays was solid. Run blocking needs a little work. The passing game was the best it has looked in years.

Who cares if it's predictable...? It keeps them in the defense we want them in. Then when the coaches are ready we can exploit it.
