Didn't they start 5 SR and 4 JR? Maybe I am wrong.

Their pitchers are young, like our team, but their lineup is larger upperclassmen.

All 3 of their weekend starters and closer are freshman.

oh wait.

ULL's pitching staff is younger than our pitching staff, and our pitching staff is young.

We are a true freshman pitcher away from finishing 4th in the SEC. You tell me.

As good as the hitting was all year, Lange unexpectedly changed the trajectory of the season. And thank God he did the way the bats slumped in the postseason.

Do trosclair and Trajan project as higher draft picks? McDonald said 2nd round for trahan and while hes a nice college player I just don't see it. Trosclair has a pile of hr but he didn't appear overly impressive this series.

Considering 4th in the SEC is prob going to Omaha, I don't see that as terrible

Bregs has higher offensive numbers this year vs. Trahan's better defensive numbers this year. Both are great shortstops

Young is being used interchangeably with inexperienced. Trahan and Butler were the only real everyday guys who returned.

I don't think LSU minus Lange goes to Omaha. More likely than not, they'd be playing a Super Regional on the road. Poche would give them a shot game 1 but God knows what you're throwing in game 2, not even to mention game 3.

Unexpected by who? Maybe because he was projected to be the 3rd best pitcher in the best recruiting class in the country. One freshman pitcher was a huge vagina and saw he was getting beat out and left, and the other got hurt right before the season. But everyone knew all along that we would have a freshman or two in our weekend rotation.

I get your point, but did anyone expect one of the three to be Nola 2.0? Like I was implying, say we had a 7-3 pitcher in Lange's spot. That was the difference between first and 3rd, maybe 4th/5th place. And that's the difference between playing a Super Regional at home and playing one on the road.

Most expected Mac Marshall to be the next in the Coleman, Ranaudo, Gausman, and Nola line. But we were wrong.

Unless you got matched up with Missouri State.
