In 2013 his daughter died. I'm sure that a family tragedy of that magnitude has something to do with it.

I asked him that very question in person. I loved his takes on things. He was a stud player in his day. He stated that he simply got tired of all the late hour post game shows.

Dont know what you want from your radio guys but Risher knew more about the inner workings of CFB and NFL than any of the people we have on sports talk in BTR right now. I will say this he was not a fan of the prima donnas we have playing now and coming out of HS. He was pretty old school.

The combination of Hannigriff and Risher was unbeatable. No other show came close.

Nah it was his daughter. She was in her mid-20s. It was pretty tragic and unexpected.
