Spread is for teams with lesser talent. Big boys play smash mouth. Plus, Les greatly respects Cam and will let him do his thing without interference. I have my finger's crossed for Cameron. It would be a Chavis like hire.

So what you're saying is you wouldn't want a coach like Sean Payton at LSU b/c he only wins 64% of his games?

Got it.

Why? Because he is much better than what we have now. This would be a HUGE hire. The stupidity of some of our fans never ceases to amaze me (not necessarily directed at OP just a certain few in this thread).

Because he is the only one willing to work for Miles since he knows him...he is very conservative and old school...won't try that "colleage offense crap"...he'll keep it with the ground and pound and 8 yard curls

There is no way you are an actual LSU fan. I've never seen you or hurricane miles , EVER, make a post that puts LSU in a positive light. Never

I was listening to the radio this morning and someone put it perfectly: Les needs someone that keeps the offense as autonomous as Chavis keeps the defense. Cam Cameron just plain fits that need and our style of offense.

But Oregon scores all those points every game and we need to be like them. That would definitely win us a bunch national championships like they did...oh wait.

I HATE OUR IGNORANT AND ENTITLED FAN BASE.

Cam Cameron would be a home run hire and all you can do is shite on the program.

Hey what are the chances that since Cam and Miles go way back, Miles will have more respect/trust in in him and therefore not be as involved with the offense. I mean if he has in fact been involved with the offense in the past. I have just heard that being suggested from time to time.

truth. balance is the 2nd biggest weapon on offense after talent.

on the other hand cameron averaged 10 wins a year with ravens so our fans would totally hate him. we hate doube digit wins.

Why Cam Cameron ?

In my opinion, the answer is two-fold:

1) Cameron is a very good offensive coordinator

2) Miles is much less likely to micro-manage the offense if he hires a long time friend that has a great track record. There are many good young OCs out there, but Cameron may be the only candidate that Miles would actually defer to with the offense.

I hope the rumors are true.

Miles wasn't very involved when Crowton ran a 2007 offense that was on point with Flynn at QB. Then Crowton went full retard with a new QB.

Well shite, forgive me for my ignorance, but is this a done deal? Cause people are talking like it is. It would be such a letdown if this were all just speculation

Nothing official. Much speculation about making the announcement after signing day. Spring practice begins March 14, so I assume they want to get him in here soon.

With all the chatter, I think it's a done deal.
