Why Blame Harris?

How can any LSU fan be mad at Harris? Yes, his interception was awful, but I blame the system and the lack of confidence placed in him. If anything, I feel bad for him, as I personally feel like his talents at LSU are being wasted. Would Harris be performing this bad under Briles, Herman, or Fisher? I say no.

Our offensive philosophy stinks

The system is horrible and absolutely to blame. We put our QBs in no win situations. Doesn't help that he's wildly inaccurate though

Not to take away from has been said of the scheme there is definitely truth there. However, this past game Harris just didn't look like what a quarterback should, constant frustration and yelling at his own teammates, poor reads pre and post snap, and just in general poor composure throughout.

With as many games as he has under his belt there is no excuse for making that throw in that situation. There were a lot of mistakes that game not on Harris but that int is squarely on him.

The kid just gets so emotional in high-stress situations. He drops back and just fricking pegs the ball (sometimes to his own man, sometimes to the other team). It doesn't help that the coaching staff has no confidence in him

Exactly! His reads were poor. He forced several balls to Dupre when other WRs were open. He doesn't read defenses very well.

Does he not read passes because he doesn't have the talent or because he hasn't been developed?

He made a horrible decision and a terrible throw. Even the offensive system can't stop that.

Because he's not a good QB. That's why blame Harris.

Because he fires rocket balls over the outstretched arms of 6'4" future NFL receivers and is consistently inconsistent. He's also scared to death in front of the lights.
That being said, I am really pulling for the kid. By all accounts, he seems to be a fantastic human being, and you can see that he really cares about the team's success.
I'm still holding out hope that he becomes a major strength of the team.

My problem is that all we heard was how he has improved. Not say our coaches and scheme isn't the problem, but I didn't see any improvement on his part.

I don't he is a symptom of the problem, just as the offenses have been

Agree , there's a lot of people saying bench Harris but aside from Mett having one good year the qb position has been a problem under clm ....
The fact is they keep recruiting qbs that don't fit the system and they just can't develope the qb position ...
Also no way a school like LSU shouldn't be 4 qbs deep , we should never have to start a qb that doesn't have at least two years in the system ...
No matter what the blame should be put on clm , and the worse part is it doesn't matter who the OC is the offense still looks the same ...
Cam is a horrible coach period , and I don't want to hear well he coached Drew Bree's and Antwion Randall El , so what the crap I'm looking at on the field shouldn't fly in middle school ball ...

He was really bad in that game. I also think the system is terrible. I don't think firing Cam at the end of the season will save Miles job.

No your right the last thing I want to hear is les is keeping his job and hiring a new OC , les would still run that outdated crap he calls an offense ..

Texas and Alabama have freshmen playing QB for them and they didn't look half as bad and scared as Harris did. As much of the blame goes to the system... I put more on Harris. He airmailed numerous throws (to a 6'4 WR) and just makes some poor decisions including that last INT. What did he see there?

fricking srsly?
he deserves some of the blame.

Confidence? Like when he said this summer "I have the strongest arm in college football"?

We don't have a staff in place to develop the guy so it's not completely his fault that he sucks.
I'd like to see etling get some run, at least he could manage the game. Then again it doesn't matter the team that showed up Saturday isn't winning a damn thing this year.
