Nobody is lowering the standards. If you want me to tell you we will 10 games this season...I will.
The personnel on the field currently suggests otherwise.

If this is the case what was the point of firing Les.

What is it with you dumbasses and this particular question? Les was running the program in the ground...a fact we are now paying for.

How is this supposed to happen, when Brennan is getting game experience, while Narcisse is not. This kid will not be here next season. LSU spring 2018 depth chart prediction:

1. Brennan
2. Caleb Lewis
3. New Guy

nobody lowered expectations. quit making shite up

O has already admitted this, likely not even realizing it. Do you recall his press conference and shows where he talks about lack of depth on both lines and the need to pick-up JC transfers. Doesn't even mention recruiting. That tells me he has lowered expectations for the year based on what he has and that he needs "a quick infusion" for the team to be successful next year and ???

If a kid, coming off two straight ACL surgeries, who has never taken a snap under center in a game, transfers after his freshman year because he was redshirted, then bye. I sure hope he has more confidence in himself than you seem to have in him.

I included him because I think he's really talented and I would be really surprised if the coaches don't have a competition for the starting position in the spring. Look at Eason and Fromm at Georgia. Eason was pretty good last year, he got hurt and now might never get back on the field again.

He's been saying since the Alabama game last year that we're not going to be where we want to be until we can get better on the lines. This isn't some new narrative that he's just now trotting out there.

The hypocrisy of this fanbase is on display for all to see ...so many of the Miles detractors over the years have had the script flipped. Y'all aren't handling it very well hahahhaha it is enjoyable to watch the mental gymnastics the Ed Orgeron fanboys employ to justify this grotesque abomination of a HC hire.

Bunch a nasty , shameless hypocrites the whole lot of you .

Fast forward one season, fans again were appreciative for O's efforts in his interim stint but most by no means thought he was the right man for the head spot

I wish that we're true. But there was a VERY significant portion of the fan base that wanted O...and wanted him bad.

They also happened to be loud as he'll. That's a huge part of the reason alleva felt compelled to keep O.

Hell, there were multiple polls on a few local websites where O won out over jimbo and herman at 70%.

That's sad.

Yea right, but he also said we would be competitive this year and be in the hunt for SEC west. I believe he missed on recruits, injuries and transfers and/or discipline issues causing early departures. So I'm not saying any or all of this is totally on him. I think the context of your statement he made last year as you use was in a vein that "we would be better" on both sides of the ball tackle to tackle.

My point is that he has come to the realization of what he has or may already have known and little nuance statements by him are revealing this.

Is this Divergence? We have to place everyone into factions around here?

after the bowl game O stated we would be in the playoff hunt this year. We are not even really in conference play at the moment and have been playing cupcakes. We were embarrased to MSU and almost lost to Cuse at home. Now there is a shift to not having "talent" , need to head Juco route, and how we have a rough road ahead.

There are a lot of deflections shifting the narrative of we need more time lined up to buy his arse more time. But what happens next season after we lose Key and our stud RB? As of now the recruitin class isn't special, not bad but certainly won't fix any of our issues.

Hypocrites shouldn't be welcome into any faction.
It's simply one of the worst characteristics one can have.

As soon as the campaign and propaganda started, I saw the writing on the wall. When he announced O was to lead our team, I knew this would later come back to bite LSU in the arse.

Too many of our fans act on emotion but not by what happens before our eyes.

There is still a portion of this base who thinks he is a good coach but was screwed by Miles. Its funny somewhat seeing different spins on everything. I am just praying we survive this

There is NO intentional lowering of expectations here. But I do think Les Miles got the Charlie McClendon pushover. Should he or could he have done more? Who knows? BUt too many people held him at the Saban standard, all the while forgetting his accomplishments.

I'm just like the AD. Coach O should be on a short leash. There is NO reason to all of a sudden fall to 6-6 as an average.
