No if we would have brought in a completely new Staff then I believe that everyone would have the brains to realize it would take some time to implement their system. 0 was brought in for the sole reason of continuity and winning right now. Now that he has the job he doesn't give a frick and the excuses just keep rolling in

absolute nonsense considering part of the argument for keeping O is that we'd keep continuity and avoid a rebuild

How many wins do you expect next year if this is a "rebuild"?

7. Because next year will be a rebuild. According to these clowns we've been rebuilding for 6 seasons. And we are worse than when we started.

Didn’t we have games cancelled those seasons?

How many different threads are you going to ask this in?

Expectations for next year are going to be determined by how the team finishes out this year and who leaves early. If Weathersby and Clapp both leave, we're going to be extremely thin at offensive line again next year. We should be pretty strong on the D line though. The linebackers and secondary should be great regardless if Jackson and Toliver leave. We're going to be really thin at running back with Brosette and Edwards-Helaire looking like the only guys returning that will have any significant experience. The WR group should be really good. And there will probably be some growing pains with a true sophomore first time starter at quarterback (or red shirt freshman if Narcisse beats out Brennan).

Our schedule set up very well for THIS year to be a great year, but the team is not performing up to my preseason expectations. Next year, the TEAM should be better, but the schedule also looks to be significantly tougher.

My expectations every year are for LSU to compete for the SEC west title. At this point of the season, this year's team does not look like it's capable of doing that. I'll have the same expectations next year, but I know that it's going to be tough sledding for the reasons laid out above.

our oline is the worst part of it. still shouldn't be as bad as we are.

the dline is hurt just as much by suspensions as it is misses in recruiting.

i'd say we still need 10 wins after a bowl game.

Les's last 6 games were a train wreck and you know it.

I keep seeing people saying it's okay with 8 win seasons or just being competitive.

No you aren't.

You are seeing people suggest that an 8 win season would be reasonable given this year's team...with the assumption that things would improve moving forward.

O needs to be held to the exact same standards, 10 win seasons or more, anything less is not acceptable.

Nobody could win 10 games with this team, IMO. He does need to be winning 10 games pretty consistently in the short term though. Where we are today shouldn't remove those standards in the big picture.

I'm not sure how you could come to that conclusion now that the talent and depth issues have come to light.

It was time. Allowing the OL and DL to become so thin was a huge problem that puts the program itself at risk.

I hope LSU wins big, and not just because I want to see them win. I haven't seen this much whining and crying since my son was in daycare. O's here for at least 2 years, like it or not. Nobody consulted me on the hire, but now that he's the coach we might as well give him a realistic shot.

Let me ask you this; do you think LSU was on a downward trajectory with Les Miles?

21-0 followed by 4.3 straight seasons of under performing teams with seemingly no willingness to change anything didn't help either.

Nope, it was to change the offense. Guess what? A new OC was hired. Sorry, your narrative is crumbling.

Not mine.... this program SHOULD be in the running for 11 win seasons every year... I do realize that unless you are Saban this won't happen but a run like we had between 2003 and 2007 would be something we should expect. However it's a game played by 18-22 year old kids..... deal with what the results are and just be happy to be a Tiger fan......
