Playing for JJ?
What does he have that Jarrett lee and Andrew Hatch do non't have?
I've been questioning myself all day about this.
This was not the same team we've seen all year.
What was is?
Was it character?
Was it personality?
Was it race?
Was it play calling?
What the hell was it that made this years team look so bad and so good for the bowl game?

We put up points, but our defense stopped their gimmick. Once you shut down a gimmick, they're pretty much just your new practice squad.

The frick?

Anyway, I don't know what would make you think they were rallying around JJ or something, but a couple of things:

-He started the game with several consecutive complete passes, rather than a pick six or several consecutive dumbass throws

-If he did make a mistake he didn't go whining to his receiver about it on the sideline

It was obvious that JJ came out hot.I was glad to see it.But do you honestly thing that Lee and Hatch were as bad as they looked this year?
The oline was blocking for JJ ,the receivers were open for JJ and the playbook was open for J.
None of this was available for Lee and Hatch.

is this really a serious question???
Well for one JJ DOESNT THROW PICK SIXES!!!!
Then we can go on a long list of things such as:
1) he doesnt force things
2) he scans the field
3) he realizes that Lafelle isnt the only WR on our team
4) He doesnt stare lafelle down
5) When a play is busted he scrambles
6) HE LAID IT ALL OUT ON THE FIELD FOR OUR BOYS LAST NIGHT AND DID NOT FOUGHT FOR EVERY YARD HE COULD (INSTANCES SUCH AS THE LEFT UNDERHAND PITCH AND THE FACT THAT HE NEVER SLID FEET FIRST)

Does that answer your question??? Its kind of amazing who will follow you and the extent they will go for you when you lay it all out of the field like a leader should do!

muppet, good for you that you never make a mis-type.
The pick sixes were from pressure.
How much pressure was JJ under last night?

Don't recall the team playing all that great for him in the Arkansas game.

I can't say I saw Byrd play any better for JJ than Hatch or Lee. To say he was a disappointment this year is an understatement. Otherwise I don't know it was so much personal with the players as much as at some point, a team has to have a QB they can believe in, that he won't undermine all their efforts.

they were open for JL too, he just threw to the covered ones a few too many times

I assume you mean JJ, and you'd be wrong again

His mobility is a huge advantage over Lee, but I think Lee has the better arm.

I was just wondering how the hell you managed to do that. No hard feelings.

They rolled him out quite a bit, which is something JL quite frankly is incapable of doing. Like I said, JJ just came out and got the job done... scored on the first drive. When Lee was playing well a few times throughout the season, I think the team had the same confidence they had last night. I really didn't see that much of a difference that can't be explained by them just being hyped to play in a bowl game.

Uh, yeah. Those two might practice like pros, but they don't play like it.

That is really a stupid remark. That's like saying "They are really really good football players, they just don't play the game very well."

I wonder if Les hadn't defered all season if we would have looked better having the chance to jump out first?

Jefferson is a great Player and is now the starter.Lee and Hatch should get ready for mop up Duty.I've been saying this all year,JJ should have been in there midway threw the season! He may not have been ready but neither was Lee! Lee didn't show any Progress what so ever threw the season,Hatch should have got more time in the rotation when he wasn't hurt.JJ has progressed these last games and has emerged as THE STARTER Thats My Opinion And I'm sticking to it!!
