It gives our players an energy lift. It creates pressure on the opposition. Yes it even effects the refs. There is a reason why its harder to win on the road.

I never said that. Crowd noise affects basketball but not in the same way it does football.

Lots of blue hairs at the basketball game along with no pregame tailgating to get everybody drunk and rowdy like football.

They care for just the Kentucky game. The players need to play with fire every game. They are playing too lazily and laid back. They need to act like every opponent they play is Kentucky. Keith Hornsby is the only player on the team that plays with fire

Basketball is a game played with constant action. There aren't as many opportunities for anticipatory build-up during periods of non-action as there are in football and baseball. Think about it. When is TS at it's loudest? It's not during the actual play, but before the ball is snapped. You could hear a pin drop while the play is happening. Same with baseball. The build up is before the pitch. It becomes very quiet during the actual pitch and while the ball is in play. It's human nature. When the action is going on you're anxious/focusing on what is happening, not cheering.

When you're playing from behind the whole game, there is nothing to be loud about. If we can dominate teams wire-to-wire, then the fans will cheer. The poor play quiets the crowd. I wasn't at the game, but I wouldn't cheer for a team thats down 5-8 for 40 minutes. Tough to rally for that.

I've heard the PMAC loud plenty....this team just makes it hard to sustain it.

Yep. Used to be loud sustained noise years ago. I remember when they had a meter in there to measure crowd noise. If LSU starts winning consistently again I hope we can return to those days.
