He is future tGOAT that's why

He was a 5 star QB and one of the top duel threat qbs in the country his senior year.
Kid is going to be great.

It is nothing personal...expectations are always high for whoever is backup at LSU...

Because Jennings set the bar so low

See the 4th quarter of MSU and all but the 1st quarter of NMSU last year. Not to mention all the reports that universally say he's greatly improved from last year. The QB job is Harris' to lose at this point.

because people here constantly set themselves up for failure then blame it on the player for not living up to absurd expectations

Because there is so much talent around him.

His arm strength is compared to Jamarcus Russell. Strong arm QB's tend to thrive under Cam. Plus he's got mobility to boot. He's Ryan Perriloux without the drama.

I just feel like we are setting ourselves up for disappointment. People predicting us to go 11-1 and making the playoffs....we haven't even established a qb who's shown that he's capable

He was a big time prospect, why should expectations not be high?
Expectations were high for Fournette, was that wrong?

If he doesn't play well, you will be disappointed anyway. This notion that somehow 8-5 and the Music City Bowl won't seem so bad if we don't go into the season cautiously optimistic about the team's potential is utter bs.
If you want to root for a team where everyone has "realistic" expectations that get met and you go crazy when they are exceeded, there is a team in Starkville, Mississippi that you should become a fan of in lieu of rooting for the Tigers.

4 quarters isn't going to show me too much, especially when 3 of them were against New Mexico State....I know he can sling it, but he also paid for that as well. I'm just scared he's going to be a couple turnovers deep against mcneese and miles will quickly lose the trust and go back with Jennings

No, because the running back position isn't a problem Lsu ever has...we've definitely had a share of big time qb recruits who haven't panned out.

Who under Miles?
JJ and Lee weren't "big time recruits"
Perriloux would've been great by all accounts

Lee was. Top 10 QB, high four star.
