Is this someone's research project or are people really that bored? Or could it just be a way to up their post count? (FWIW, I am not posting this to up my post count).

Just got here, but my guess is that two just happened to be started at almost the same time, and the rest came from people trying to be funny. Saw the same thing a while ago with "Check in if you want X player to wear #18" threads.
