There's Urban Meyer and there's his shadow with an arrow pointing to it signifying Billy Gonzales was located there.

When Monken got the job at Jacksonville, Billy was first on Del Rio's wish list. Urban fricked Billy behind closed doors. It finally surfaced to Billy. He wanted out

Very good question. I've also wondered this.

I'd imagine any praise from LM from a big improvement would go to Mr. Croton to prove that he was right to keep him on his staff.

If you see the pics of the fall practice, Billy is in most of the ones with the wide receivers. Which I know, he is the position coach, but he is being very hands on. He asks the receivers what they saw on the side of the football as they catch it, making sure that their focus is squarely on the football. There is no doubt that he is coaching and scrutinizing every catch and route. He was very vocal and animated in the Spring game. He is an upgrade from what we had last year. Hopefully it will translate to the field. He is the passing game coordinator.

Meyers did not think he was good enough and rewarded his loyality by finding another coordinator when the offensive coordinator position came open. Good reason to leave and show him what a mistake he made by beating him every time he plays Florida.
