and what would you rather?

I'd say that Jeter will start, but that Gordon will get in if healthy and become the starter and main man.

I'd rather the guy who can catch the ball, but our head coach disagrees. he's gonna put that blocker in.

ground and pound, baby!

I am not disagreeing at all with coach's philosophy - just my worthless opinion that a threat to catch the ball is worth more at that position in an overall scheme plan.

Outside LF, Jeter has been most consistent player on offense.

He stays put.

hope ur right. from what I've been reading by the highly informed opinions on the Tiger Rant and pundits, Gordon is in reality a Guard playing TE.

point is, if he's the better blocker, Coach is gonna play him for all he's worth.

I have to say, I don't mind that. what I really hate is the 2 TE set. just too many damn bodies clogging up the line. besides a sellout on the playcall.

Jeter has been a pleasant surprise and has played well.

Gordon is 300lbs mauler at TE who is more like an OT.

Both will play. Jeter has earned himself a nice role with his play. Love his size and skill set. And with our WRs struggling, I think we will go 2 TEs a lot with Gordon and Jeter on the field.

More like an OT. 6'6" 300 lbs., a great blocker, and really athletic. Kid needs to look at Jason Peters in the NFL and take that path IMO. Jason was a 2nd team All-SEC TE at Arkansas at 6'4" 320 and became arguably the best LT in the league for a long time.

Gordon does have good hands though and I love him in the lineup. Jeter has more height and speed in his routes though, so both can be used.

I like Jeter man. Kid has done great so far - took a big hit and was back out on the field a few plays later - tough as nails. I am not as familiar with Gordon. shite, lets have them both out there every now and then.

He has played in 39 games for his career, starting 25.

Gordon's been out since Auburn. He'll get plenty of PT once he's healthy.

The two TE set with those two guys will be like 7 OLs out there.

I cannot remember the last time he caught a pass now that he is the size of an OL. Lets be honest, he has been converted to an OT eligible.

Yeah.

Our most athletic OT is basically Gordon and that's going to be great to have him back. Our OL is really stacked. Great feeling to have.

I wish they got Gordon involved in the passing game more. But then again, that same statement could be applied to almost every offensive skill player. He really is a freak athlete.

I really think he does have an NFL future.
