Didn't the great Saban use his 2 quarterbacks in the same way that Miles is using his two. Wasn't one of then "better" coming in off the bench.
I don't recall a lot of complaints then. He beat Florida in the Swamp using a two quarterback system. And we all know that Saban can do no wrong around here.

I think Jefferson starts again despite how well Lee has played. Lee doesn't have the confidence issues that Jefferson does, so starting Lee on the bench doesn't effect his overall psyche as much as it would for JJ. Plus, by naming him the starter the opposing defense may put in just that extra few reps in practice preparing for the ground attack JJ provides, opening up the passing attack for Lee. Jefferson may start, but its become apparent the last two games that Lee is the QB that the coaches have faith in, with him leading the two gamewinning drives.

Yeah, but Jamarcus, as a freshman mind you, wasn't far and away better than Randall. Lee is easily a better passer and should get 90% of the snaps. Bring Jefferson in to run the ball like Perrilloux did in 2007.

There were. The same people who were questioning that decision are the same ones ridiculing miles now and would stick there penis in a pencil sharpener to get Saban back

LM, being LM, will start Mr. Jefferson to waste many snaps that could have gone to JL.

WTF is this psychobabble nonsense? Mr. Jefferson need not see the field of play again...

this. the idea that "lee is better off the bench" is complete hogwash. you hand the ball to your best QB when the game is on the line. guess what, the last two weeks the game has been on the line w/ our backs against the wall and Lee delivered.

ETA: by that logic, why start the guy you are not comfortable w/ when the game is in the balance?

many people at the time wanted saban to start russell because he clearly was more talented than randall. while this was true, saban addressed it saying something along the lines of "i can't make him a leader, he has to earn it. he needs to learn that he's the leader of this team and he has to demonstrate it both in practice and in games. he needs to learn that when he doesn't execute in practice, he hurts the team's development. randall understands that now. we went through the same issues w/ rohan and booty."

but for some reason, i'm sure JJ will start.

If Lee was the starter and played the majority of the game, there's a chance the game wouldn't be on the line every week. Lee has proven to be a very efficient QB the past two weeks throwing a limited number of passes, and has produced a lot of yards on those limited opportunities.
