Who is going to play center for us this year?

Anybody know? I haven't seen anything. I remember there was talk of Clapp moving to center last year, but he stayed at guard. Is Andy Dodd ready? Seems like we have more depth at guard.

I think Clapp will switch over. Let Maea take LG or RG.

Dark horse candidate is the kid from Dutchtown that redshirted. Apparently he has freakishly long arms.

Cushenberry? Might be tough for a RSFR to start at center, but he's definitely one to keep an eye on.

Dodd is going to be a senior - if he's not ready to start in August, he never will be.
Having said that, Clapp has played more to this point, although a lot more at guard.
What I think will happen, is Clapp will start at Center and slide to a guard spot if an injury means he and Dodd playing will be the best 5 on the field. We do need to develop another Center. Of the incoming guys, I like Edward Ingram as - maybe - a prospect, here. I don't see where he played any center in HS, but he is relatively short (6'3") and wide (354) - which could be just what we need to counter the giant NTs in the 3-4 defenses that are becoming so popular in the conference.
Of course, we just got 4 great years out of a 6'7" center, so what do I know?

Cushenberry?
No - he means Campbell. Cushenberry is out of Dutchtown.

Spot on.

I was referencing Cushenberry.

The center will be either Clapp or Cushenberry.

Dodd has done fine in his appearances. I haven't seen anything in his play that would necessitate moving another player to center.

It seems clear they want Teuhema at T. Sadly, he's probably better built to be a G.
And Yea, I wasn't too impressed with Clapp this year.

My ideal offensive line
LT: Malone (if no one can beat him out)
LG: Maea
C: Clapp
RG: Brumfield, Campbell or Deculus
RT: Weathersby

Who ever it is, needs to have IT between the ears in Canada's offense. I'm not concerned with size as much as having IT between the ears.
The Oline shake up might surprise some (me included). A lot of moving parts. I haven't been this excited since Blue Bell ice cream came back on the market.

My bad - you got the hometowns crossed up, then.

Except I believe Deculus backs up Malone or Weathersby.

I went back and checked to see if he edited. Doesn't appear to be the case. As God as my witness, I thought he said Ponchatoula.
So, I think I did get them crossed up. Sorry about the brain damage fellas - please carry on.
