Patterson or Franks if he had his choice. If it was just you and him talking, who do you he would tell you.

I haven't watched any footage on Patterson but Franks looks like the perfect quarterback for LSU's pro-style offense.

Which ever one he doesn't have to teach to take a snap from under center and teach how to control the huddle

Both. He would say be wants both. Then he would say he can make either of them a stud, and he wants the one that really wants to be here. I bet that is in Cam's diary in one way or another.

I think he'd rather Franks by far. And that's not sour grapes. 1) he's physically got a higher ceiling, 2) he doesn't have to worry about Franks' brother competing for his attention, But 3--and most importantly--)Cam seemed to have chosen Franks and gone after him 1st and harder.

Well neither QB takes snaps from under center. They really just don't teach it that much in high school anymore. Shotgun in high school is just an easier concept.

In the long run, both of the kids are going to have good careers in my opinion. I like them both. FP committed to LSU already. He's already out recruiting for us. His recruitment also didn't come with strings such as hiring his brother who will be working with QBs. Who do you want to work with your QBs? Cam Cameron/Kragthorpe or Sean Patterson.

Both kids are going to be good. If Hugh Freeze grabs his brain out of his arse, he'll start Shea over Swag.

Either way. LSU is getting a good kid.

Well, he did say Franks is more advanced at this stage of his career than Peyton Manning...

And Franks is committed to LSU. Patterson isn't.

You do the math.

OP is trying so hard to justify beliefs that Patterson is the better QB.

ALL true sophomores are all-conference players every year.

Not saying QB was a world beater, but kid is 9-4 as QB. The eye test says the coaches did a phenomenal job despite the QB.

he hand picked Franks as the guy he wanted, so there is your answer. But no doubt he wouldnt like to add Patterson if he could.

I think we could've had Patterson if we would've dropped Franks. Patterson wasn't coming here to compete with another QB of that caliber. It was one or the other. In that sense, Cameron picked Franks. He's the better fit and I'm happy with how it turned out for us

Seeing as Cam had his choice between Franks and Patterson and he chose Franks, that should pretty much answer your question.

Actually if you watch Franks game film he takes a decent amount of snaps from under center...

The last time a QB ditched LSU for Ole Miss, it worked out OK for LSU. It worked out OK for them too. They got a serviceable tight end out of the deal. So we can just relax.

Can doesn't have the final word on these types of decisions.

Just watched his 2014 highlights. He's already come a long way with his throwing motion. He's taken a lot of the baseball loop out of it.

As far as the original question, Cam obviously chose Franks over Patterson. Why else would he offer Franks first?

Robert Lane Part 2. RL crawled off to Ole Miss as well and was never heard from again. No chest. No competitive fire.

SP still has to beat out RebAl Kelly and Jason Pellerin to see the field.........
