Who can influence/force Miles hand?

Alleva? Probably not as he doubled down on the bozo last fall when Arkansas was reported to have interest
Jenkins?
BOS?
TAF?

Hate to say it, but Miles has LSU by the shorthairs and Alleva is to blame. Spin it anyway you want, but the mass exodus is a much stronger statement to Miles' coaching ability than any prior post on Tigerdroppings or Tweet from former players. He has to bring in a credible offensive coordinator and staff to steer this ship from the icebergs ahead.

Everything you said is bull shite. The only way there will be a new offensive coordinator is if miles thinks a change needs to be made but keep thinking your hair brain ideas are gonna be heard or paid attention to .

...follow the money.

and the fear of losing it.

Miles would still be doing what he was doing for FL, had the wheels not come off....

he will change when something happens that makes him fear the loss of $4MM
...unfortunately, by that time, another season will be down the drain.

I wonder if he is in-touch enough even with this kind of thing to begin to dimly realize his offensive scheme and coaching doesn't have what it takes to win the big ones in the SEC. Much less the ACC.

It amazes me how the Kool Aid drinkers who still think Miles is genius fail to look at the facts.

This is an unprecedented defection of player who have totally rejected the LSU Program and Les Miles. LSU is in free fall big time and there is no one to blame but Leslie Miles.

He is going to spin it in his usual doublespeak as a great opportunity for new players to step up. But I do not see anyone replacing many of these guys and expect a mediocre team next few years.

MIles squandered a chance for LSU to be that dynasty by not recruiting a great dual threat QB and for crappy OL play.

Mark my word...the next defections will be coaches leaving.

I think if he'd gotten an average QB and coached him up, that LSU dynasty would still be on the radar screen. Oh wait, he did. But the coaching up part? Oops...

Almost all of the under classmen were ready to leave. They all are just following their dreams to play in the NFL and get paid. Has nothing to do with Miles.

If you had say 10 under classmen transferring to other schools then maybe your point has some value.

Playing in the NFL and getting paid is greater than playing at LSU for free.

not true...
while I do believe a lot of them are leaving for NFL $$$
going to another school would mean sitting out a year.

Can't fault these kids for leaving. It's just part of the process and the way it is now.

Ladies and gentleman, this is the definition of confirmation bias

Keep hoping that your doom and gloom predictions of the lsu program are true.

Which side is bad?

The side who wants the team to improve or the side who says all is well?

Neither of those. We all know the team needs offensive improvement. I don't think I've seen anyone say otherwise. But the guy I responded to is one of those sky is falling morons that should be marginalized in society.

re: Who can influence/force Miles hand?
the last 14 months have drained all the optimism out of me, but the small part left that still wants to like Miles is clinging to the hope that he brings in Cameron as OC and gets a new OL coach. i have no idea if hes trying to fix our problems on offense or if he even recognizes what they are, but that would settle everything, and because they're friends, Cam would stand up to him and run the offense his way, he'd be on offense what Chief is on D.

i really want to like Miles, I want to think hes a very good coach the way I used to, but he hasn't given us much reason to believe in him lately. this one move would change everything. not only would it be a massive upgrade, but a huge shift in the way we've handled things here.

I totally agree with this. Instead of preaching to the choir, he needs to send that statement to CLMs Twitter account. A lot of people do.

Like the great dual threat QB that won the National Championship the last two years.

How did Notre Dame's dual threat QB do against the Bama defense a few days ago?

Dual threat QB's are very easy to shut down, especially in the SEC, where the defenses are so fast and athletic.
