And who are your top 4 off the bench?

Also, I'm getting the impression we will be longer and more athletic. How tall are we across the board!

If we have 4 reliable guys off the bench this season, then we may as well get another coaching search ready because Will Wade won't be here for long.

Patterson

y'all can leave this guy on the bench. But, if he can make it through the Wade conditioning, Patterson may be our greatest perimeter threat. I can absolutely see him starting at the 2 guard position.

Don't sleep on Epps either. He may be the most athletic player on the team.

My question is; Can any of these people actually play Div I basketball competently....because after the last two years I have my doubts

Did you hear?

We got a new coach!

Players transferred to and from!

Incoming recruiting class went from off the radar to top 20!

All of this brand new news!!!

I hear you, though. How can players returning from an awful team do well the following year?

Coaching...

It will be interesting to see if Epps is willing to play defense this year. Last year he either mailed it in, or just doesn't know how to play defense. I don't think he'll see the court on anything less than 100% effort. That being said, he has an absolute God given ton of talent. He could be a sleeper star, or off the team by mid year.

Has Sims been kicked off the team? Is he really that bad? Or did everyone just forget about him in their 2 deep?

This looks accurate to me to start the season. I think Waters eventually overtakes Mays.

Edwards will remain in the lineup due to his shooting ability.

I actually think you're pretty close here, I wouldn't at all be surprised to see Waters and Mays start together.

I think Kiir and Reath start down low with Combs/Epps spelling them

Patterson regressed big time under Johnny. He’s a hard working kid and has potential to be a pretty decent guard in this league. I have faith he will improve a ton under Wade and be a solid contributor next season.

Patterson's biggest problem is shot selection. He needs to stop shooting NBA 3s. He comes up short a lot. Many of those he could have stepped up, but he tends to shoot where he catches the pass.

Will Wade is not going to play a kid who turns his body sideways to the basket when he shoots. That's end-of-the-bench stuff for a coach like Wade.

Your five starters are Waters, Edwards, Sampson, Combs and Reath, and the primary guys off the bench will be Epps, Kiir, Alexander, Rachal and Mays (Mays is your likely sixth man). Patterson and Sims will play in blowouts. Bigby-Williams is the 13th scholarship as he sits out.
