Are these guys rejects from an Aussie NBA or what? I'm having a hard time finding a measuring stick for this competition. Are they college guys or a local sandlot team?

They picked people out of the crowd before the game and at half time.

They are pro Australian teams. Their league begins play in October so this is similar to the NBA summer league for them. Think of the pelicans recent summer league games. This is what the Australian pro teams are doing. Its good solid competition

Oh, and to all the smart asses and dipshits.......grow up you pussies

The question still remains, how good are these teams? I guess what op is asking is do we look good or like crap at this point.

He asked if we traveled around the world to play sandlot teams.

He deserves a smart arse answer.

The Sydney Kings have players that have played college ball in the US, some have had stints in the NBA summer league, and players who represent the Australian national team. Former NBA player Josh Childress also plays for the Kings, but did not participate in the preseason game vs. LSU. Marcus Thornton, from William & Mary, not LSU, was drafted by the Celtics this past year, but after summer league has signed with the Kings.

So as you can see, this is some pretty decent competition versus guys who have played some meaningful games together.

It's a statistical fact that even the very best questions on the Rant and the OT (and sometimes on other boards) will get an average of 4.2 BS comments from people trying (and sometimes succeeding at) humor. The good questions move past that into decent discussion.

OK that is a statistical fact that I just made up out of thin air. But there really are a couple of goofball comments even for the best threads. It seems harmless enough to me.

Add in a 24 second shot clock and an international 3-pt line. I'd say LSU's doing pretty well on this trip.

I think the 3 being about a foot deeper explains our lower 3pt %. And the short shot clock is why the games are so high scoring.
