Edit - surprise in the "general" sense - doing something generally different - like throwing more - as opposed to a trick play here/there.

When LSU and Bama line up this weekend, in many ways, this game is an absolute "throw back". Both teams' offensive strength has been simply to line up, block their respective assigned defender, and hand the ball to a great running back. Neither has really had to do anything cute. Both have shown the ability to throw the ball when necessary, and because of that, it's likely tempting to each team to "come out slinging", in the hopes a surprise attack puts points up.

Y'all think either team does this? Or, do both think they win by doing exactly what they've done to date? If someone breaks from the norm, who does so first? Do both wind up doing that (breaking from the norm) at some point?

I think both NS and CLM think they have the better team, and that both think they'll do not a whole lot different than they've done this year to date. Both line up, run the ball, expecting their talent, coaching, and conditioning to ultimately bring them success to the point of scoring enough to win.
