Which defensive unit helped the others the most?

Did the DL elevate their play and help the secondary and LB's, or was it the other way around?

Still trying to figure it out while watching the replay. Either way I hope it continues. Most complete game so far minus penalties.

Secondary ... Robinson took away JFF's security blanket. The sacks LSU had were basically coverage sacks.

Great overall defensive effort. I was very pleased with their play.

Definitely noticed this wish I had recorded the game to get a better look

I'd say the entire squad stepped up. The blitz kept Manziel locked inside. The DL shut down gaps. And the DBs obviously did their thing.

I'm leaning towards the secondary giving the DL time to get to Manziel. Maybe that's one thing that's been draining the DLinemen, spending all their effort getting to the QB just to see the ball already completed for big gains.

On the other hand, they didn't run at as much as I thought they would. That's where the DL seems to struggle the most.

DBs followed by the DEs. Totally confused Manziel.

I think it's pretty obvious that pass coverage was the key to the defensive performance. Manziel frequently had lots of time to throw while the DL held their lanes... and then chose to run instead of forcing the ball into coverage. The DL and linebackers, for their part, took great angles all night.

Sure seemed like that to me as well.

I wish the TV had covered the action in the secondary more, that seemed to be where all the action was.
