Best part about Bregman, I don't think he cares where he stands all time. He comes to play every day and seems to be his biggest critic. He represents the school well and is the best shortstop this school has seen.

I couldn't care less if he ever wins a CWS, he's the best I've seen in P&G. The guy is a human vacuum in the field. His career batting ave is nearly .340. He hits with power, he's got great speed on the bases, he's as knowledgeable a player as they come, and he plays the game the way it should each and every time he steps on the field. We'll never know how good he would have been in the day and age of gorilla ball, but I'd venture to say his offensive numbers would be even better. Needless to say, I've thoroughly enjoyed watching the kid play.

He is one of the greats. He also has a shot at being LSU's highest drafted position player.

He's in my personal top 10. He and Larson are my 2 all time fav shortstops by a mile.

Excuding pitchers, Bregs is easily in my top 3 infielders I can remember. Didn't think we'd ever find another Nola, Bregs changed that

I assumed he was just listing his personal top 5 all time not specifically SS

Fielder yes, hitter no. He will have to change his approach or he'll die in AA. He doesn't have the IQ at the plate that Hill had. While I love him he tries to pull every pitch and doesn't look for the 'pitcher's pitch'. He's way too aggressive in situations where he needs to just make contact /hit the ball the other way/take a pitch. He can learn b/c he will be at the end of the order and playing 2nd in July.

Perfectly stated. I think Todd Walker reigns supreme, but Bregs is probably my number 2 overall.

I don't think it matters if I meant top 5 ss or all positions, even though I meant ss. Seems like to some he's Top 5 all time in their eyes. Remember, a top 5 all time to a 25 yr old will be diff than a top 5 all time to an old timer. Not that one is more right than the other, my whole point of making this thread was to give bregs his proper dat a boy in which he's earned.

Everyone is forgetting Jason Williams and Jeff Reboulet. While not the hitter Bregman is they were great in the field.
