I usually go to lavaca but headed to shoal creek tonight. Guess I am getting old.

I was at Lavaca for the Auburn game this past football season. It was cool for like the first minute of the game...then we got our arse kicked and I just drank my sorrows away.
I'd recommend going there.

It's a Louisiana bar with mostly cajun/seafood. Have a big Saints helmet out front and very LSU/Saints friendly.
I used to go a lot 8-10 years ago because they had nothing but 27" tube TVs, so I quit going. At least they have flat screens now. The whole place should be devoted to the LSU game with sound. Lavaca has a big screen with LSU but will likely devote only the back room to the LSU game.

This whole SXSW thing is still a bit bewildering to me. Maybe next year.
For now, I'm still trying to find the flavor and comfort of LA.
