Implying Aleva has any control over all of this. The ones with the millions can't even agree on what to do right now. They out all their eggs in Jimbos basket and assumed the deal was done.

What are they disagreeing about?

He obviously has his guy and is just letting everything else play out. IDGAF about the media our outside fans. Y'all are too damn sensitive to shite like this.
All year it's, "who cares what the media thinks". Now you give a shite?

Right now, they are disagreeing because they don't want their names involved. Some of them loved miles but were assured Jimbo would be coming. He's not. Now they don't want anything to do with this. Some are Miles friends, some are afraid of the optics of all of this. They are pretty much scrambling.

Ok, so you're on record saying jimbo is not coming?

He's going to get fired...even if it works out for LSU. It may take a couple of years but no way he survives this cluster.

That's ludicrous. You don't make a move because you have THE guy. You make a move for the betterment of the program and then find the best replacement possible. All of this backtracking because Jimbo is off the table, if true, reeks of cowards.

Yes. Jimbo is absolutely not coming.
There is no good ending to this. Wouldn't surprise me to see LSU without a set coach for a while.

Some of you live in an alternate reality.
Alleva has no gain by saying anything until the season is over. You expect the AD to come out and say the week before an SEC game, Les you're fired, coach this game, we hope to find a coach?
Get real.
This.
These dumbass posts need to stop.

They care a lot about how they are going to be judged. They thought they would be the heroes of the day bringing in Jimbo but now they have a big egg on their face and want out.

I think if what you were saying is true Alleva would've have made some sort of statement regarding this whole situation, I still think we've got our guy in the bag.

There are other good coaches in this world not named Jimbo Fisher. Go pay Chip Kelly and be done with it.

i believe Alleva leaked the coaching for his job information as a last ditch effort for Les to right the ship.
Alleva and Miles have never gotten along. The biggest thing and AD can do (outside a few cases like UK, KU and Duke) is hire the football coach. Miles was well established with LSU and then made him look like an a-hole when he goes on a tear in 2010-2012 when Alleva made some public statements trying to winover the mob fanbase after 2009. Les has also negotiated increasing contracts for him and his friends and Alleva the bean counter doesnt like that.
With the down year last year Alleva made a power play with the DC hiring (also IMO Alleva knew this would hamstring Miles and subsequently bring about his demise). He wouldnt work with Miles and Chief and then seemingly hamstrung the budget forcing us to pass on some higher names go with Steele. Bob Shoop comes to mind.
Its time for Les to go but Alleva is a snake. Hell his hiring of Johnny Jones was an appeasement to the basketball establishment to get them to shut up and has (relatively) blown up in his face due to his ability to recruit. Just like the locals said he would. Dale, CT pushed for him saying that TJ wouldnt work because he wouldnt know the culture. Big Duke Basketball man wouldnt listen and we resulted with that failure. Only saved for one year because of John Brady recruiting hometown boy Marcus Thornton.

Joe Alleva (born c. 1952) is the current athletics director at Louisiana State University. He offificially started on July 1, 2008.[1] He was formerly the athletics director at Duke University. As athletic director at Duke University and Louisiana State University he has consistently ruined all athletic teams for both schools. He should be fire as athletic director at Louisiana State University.

Well coaching for your job should get you motivated! It may not be this job but maybe a job interview for another school.
