Oh, places. Might go back there. They were nice, those people. I tried to turn their village into a living The Rant as a social experiment. It really is amazing to see how long the intestines are when you stretch them out all the way.

i've been wondering what you were up to...the intellectual brilliance of the trough is sorely missed!!!!

You are probably right, but there is something off when a "fan" of a team doesn't "like" the most successful HC his team has had in its 120 yr. football history when that coach ranks #2 in wins among all Power 5 teams for over a decade.

I don't care who "likes" Miles or who doesn't, but if we cant respect and be thankful for the body of work given to LSU football fans in the last 15 yrs I think we might be operating a few cards short of a full deck when it comes to college/SEC football reality.

I have always bashed CLM from the time he was hired. I did get upset during the Mississippi State game. This season the issues with the team are easily correctable. I actually think that CLM is doing a pretty good job. I also think that he won't take his foot off the gas anymore this season. I like the team right now and I'm trying to be less critical of CLM

you forgot Dana holgerson and Jimbo Fischer. I even remember people talking about Dooley because he looked good at LA tech.

Forgot Jim Harbaugh and Shaw as well.

Love the one u got boys, he's pretty good and as tough as nails.
I will not even begin to say he's the best closer in the business, that may really rile them up.

Kevin Steele sucks as D-Coordinator. There is your dose of reality/negativity.

I also would like to see the defensive line nastier, they were supposed to be with Ed O. where are the sacks?

Huh?

This area has improved tremendously.

Special teams have been bad, penalties have been bad, Steele has been meh.

If we lose a game those will be the reason why and it will get ugly.

106-29, 2 NCG game appearances, undefeated in OOC regular season play, and NRings of #1, 2, 2, 3, 8, 8, 12, 14, 17 seems to show that significant "screw" ups don't happen enough that we have to worry too much bout them, but each to our own.

And all totally irrelevant to the current team and situation at hand. The number of games CLM has won in the past is NOT going to help him win any more or less games this season......no matter how much you want to will it to be true.

Winning the 3 games like we did quiets alot of people. I know I am one of the most negative nancy's when it come to Miles and his strategies, and I am even quiet right now.

You only have to go back a few weeks to find negativity. This place was very negative after the ms state game this year.

A coaches record when some say they never liked the guy or he can still screw something up is "irrelevant"??? Come on.

CLM has won in the past

I don't really see 3-0, 2-0, and NRed #8 as the "past", but knock yourself out if you want to.

Like Miles or not, but the man is the most successful HC in LSU football history ands one of the top 5 most successful in college football for the past 10 yrs and has a top 10 ranked team currently no matter how much you might want to it not to be true.

and rightly so with the way that game played out at the end. Way too conservative.
You wanna go back and roll the dice on that kicker's leg again?

I know the man's record. God damn how many times are you guys gonna repeat this same mantra. Its like you're throwing it out there to justify any gaffe the man makes. Why cant his errs just rest on their own merits? He's human...he makes mistakes.
Why can't people just not like someone for the frick of it? Does there have to be a reason?
I work with people every day I don't like....so what. I dont carry that dislike home with me and it doesnt affect my life in any way.

Probably bout as many times as you feel the need to concentrate on a few "gaffes" rather than the countless successes.

I don't give a flying flip who likes Miles or who doesn't. It's a sports discussion forum. The only one I see having a baby over the opinions of others is you.

I think Mile has had a great career at LSU and I thank him for his efforts. Much the same as Nick. I think any "LSU fan" who hasn't been highly pleased with what's gone on with LSU football since 2000 and including the success of this season are out of touch with LSU/SEC/college football reality, but each to our own.

Sheeit, I lean heavily to the pumper side and I was upset about that ending. But I usually just keep it to myself and don't log on until the next day. By Sunday I didn't care anymore. We won.
