When will LSU replace the PMAC?

It is uglier than a fat girl at 10AM. Auburn and Mizzou have badass new arenas. Ole Miss is building one and we are stuck with the 1970's ugly spaceship.

Maybe we can build something like Pitt's arena

Pitt doesn't have an on campus football stadium, so they had to compensate somewhere. That's a pretty gleaming facility, sure, but I doubt LSU has the $ to build something like that. And given the choice I'm sure fans would see those funds diverted elsewhere.

The PMAC probably has another 15 years in it, such as it is. It's not great, but it is certainly functional. Something we'll just have to live with I suspect.

I agree.

It's been upgraded recently. Not too shabby.

Easy pickle. Lets work on the all elusive LSU sellout first. When i was at LSU, Shaq was there and the PMAC was locked and loaded with students... at least from what i can remember.

It would have to be a partnership with the city that would replace the river center

Not any time soon given it isn't in a master plan that I've ever seen from the AD or the University.

According to wikipedia, it would cost a $158million to build it today. With La having better weather for construction and a red state it could probably be done for a $150million. That is alot of $$$, but not an obscene amount.

I would also be happy with something like what Auburn has ($99million).

Freak no. Kenucky is getting freaked over by Lexington on renovating Rump. I don't want LSU having to deal with BR over an arena, plus I don't think it should be off campus. LINK

They need to update the video boards ASAP, IMO. What's in there now is weak sauce.

Maybe add an LED ribbon.

Yeah, the Video Board is outdated. Need something similar to Tennessee in that regard

This. I don't want the city government of Baton Rouge anywhere near LSU athletics.

Low, low priority. They will do upgrades before replacement. Hasn't been to long since they added the practice facility on the back.

Sorry but I would much rather see some serious renovation to the inside of TS before anything done to PMAC

You want to replace the PMAC because you don't like what the outside looks like? When we are drawing 25000 on a regular basis, maybe. Nothing wrong with the inside of the facility.

An off campus arena would be awful for the program. Don't care if it looks like the Staples Center.

The inside of the PMAC is just as nice as most other schools. Except for the video board, not worth spending the money. The PMAC has character
