when will LSU get a mens soccer team

We have to add another women's sport in order to add a men's sport. Title 9 was great 20 years ago, now it's just stupid.

pro soccer in america is GROWING.
pro teams are getting bigger and nicer stadiums.
very possible that pro soccer will easily overtake nba first and slowly nibble away at baseball.
it's growing whether you want it or not.
lsu could be another perfect spot for soccer.
h.s. and club teams in louisiana are fast growing.

until some billionaire pops for 40 scholarships, to account for the soccer team and the women's scholarships equal to men's soccer.
PS. its all relative. 'fast growing' does not equal excellence in coaching.

I played once when I was young. Don't have many fond memories of it, but then again I sucked.
Have some friends that coach girls HS soccer. Went to support there team in the playoffs a couple of years ago, literally had trouble staying awake late in the game. To much back and forth,reminded me of tennis

Kentucky and South Carolina have teams.
But yeah, it's all about Title IX. There has to be 2 more women's teams than men's, I'm pretty sure.

LSU used to have a men's soccer team. I met the coach once at a YMCA in town. He was some 70yo Eastern European fella.

Not necessarily, we would have to show a balance somehow in Men's and womens sport. Like if we could show some way to add a club sport, or some program to even it out; either way it's not going to happen
