Nothing. Cheer nothing dumbass. Having it mentioned every other second on TV and having every blue hair in the stands toting one around has taken the possum to the very brink of its coolness. Anything more than that and we'll look like confused Auburn fans that don't know who their mascot is.

No cheer. Someone has to sacrifice a possum to the baseball gods by throwing one of the stuffed animal possums onto the field. The more thrown onto the field the greater the sacrifice and the happier the baseball gods.

Yesterday Chris tried getting half the crowd to chant "Rally" and the other half "Opossum". I hid my face in my hands, it's out of control. Just watch the game and show the animation, thats enough. It won't be around much longer, it's baseball. These things quickly fade.

Bro. Just enjoy it for what it is. Its fun as shite to play with superstitions and rally around something dumb as frick because it seems like a good luck charm. But lets leave it at that, our good luck charm. Don't overdo it because it's "cool." Let it be organic. Don't force it.

On a side note, it's been a few weeks since I've seen a road-killed opossum. It seems the LSU possum is a hero of sorts to the entire Louisiana population.
