First and foremost, prayers and sympathy to the Kragthorpe family.

Was this diagnosis known to Krags before he was hired at LSU?
Did we know about his condition when we hired him?

We saw in the spring game where Miles was critical of the playcalling.

We've also heard that he overruled many play calls by Crowton (search the rant, you're going to deny it either way).

Maybe it is possible that Miles likes the way Krags develops the QBs but he wants to have more control over the playcalling and is using this condition as the way to do that.

Are you telling me that they just found out about this condition and just happened to tell everyone on the 1st day of practice?

Look, I've got sympathy for Krags and his family...but something doesn't sound right here.

Flame away, Sunshine Pumpers!

Miles is a genius. Between Krag coaching up JJ, and the way they can dedicate this season to him, and overcoming adversity, espn specials, etc. LSU should be unstoppable.

Look, Glen, we're sorry that Mike Bonnette won't give you any details about the time frame of this.

But it's a cute little conspiracy theory that I'm sure will get Gannet some clicks.

Deny what?

It's a setback but it won't implode the season? No.

Sounds like he informed Miles 3 weeks ago and began feeling the effects in a Summer Camp:

Miles said Kragthorpe informed him about three weeks ago and that he began feeling the effects during a summer camp at LSU.

It's not the first time Kragthorpe has had to deal with illness. He resigned as wide receivers coach at Texas A&M at the start of last season to care for his wife, Cynthia, who has multiple sclerosis and additionally, heart problems. He was hired by Miles to replace Gary Crowton, who left LSU for Maryland.

I feel the same way.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, but wow.. To announce this on the first day of practice?

First time they are with the players together as a team.

Makes sense to me.

Because of Les Miles' past behavior.

You think Krag would let Miles use his condition as a coverup for his demotion while actually accepting the demotion without a fight? If it is true there must be some serious extortion going on.

For his salary and health insurance? Hell yes, I think he'll do whatever Miles wants.
