I think the average OC only stays on a team for 2-3 years if they are really good.

not the worst thing in the world, everyone goes stale/gets too comfy, plus, if Kiffin stays in one place too long, he usually leaves the program with some sort of NCAA sanctions

I'd love to get kiffin, dont get me wrong, i just hope we can get to the playoffs the year we have him, because it will just be another spot in the staff to fill next year, if he has success, which of course we want

you have a very simplistic view of things, especially people. you pigeonhole them like they are robots. there will be complaining no doubt, but it is EXTREMLY likely that many of the complainers belong to either group or even neither group.
and, I hate to tell you that the entire LSU fanbase did not fall in your grouping of "O people OR Herman people" many on here wanted Fisher or Herman but also accepted O when he was hired.

I don't care who complains. I just want an offense that can score over 21 points per game because that means we'll be undefeated with Dave Amanda's defense. Except for A&M. We might have to stomp them with 50+ pts.

Everyone needs to stop overblowing the "Herman People". Herman got his dream job and was never an option for LSU. How can anyone be upset we did not get Herman?
The only fans who will complain are the fans who don't like Kiffin and his body of work. I'm fine with him coming if Coach O wants him. I also like that there will be big motivation from Kiffin, Orgeron, Aranda and the rest of the staff and players. If Kiffin comes on board LSU will have major swag next year.

That was some people's argument against hiring Herman, that he would only be around a short time, and they were told to get over it.
