I will say this, the mindless collapses LSU basketball is experiencing in the second half of games is beyond explanation. So Jones gets my vote in a close one.

It's not close, at all.

Miles was still a perfectly average coach at the end of his tenure.

I'm not sure Johnny Jones knows what basketball is.

Les was stubborn and refused to modernize his offense but was not inept. Les could've been the coach for the next 10 years and would have been an 8-10 win team every year.

Actually when it comes to ineptitude, it is you, the one who started this useless and predictable thread.

Rickdaddy has legitimate reason to show up to defend Les. The OP is a moron. I wanted Les gone well before he was fired, but I don't have such a blind hatred as to compare him to Johnny Jones.

Um, this isn't a close call. Miles had yet another very solid team that O took over and came within two plays of getting ten wins. Absolutely crushed Louisville and showed the nation what a strong defense and running game can do.

Unfortunately LSU basketball is basically a joke now.

Let's recap. Dale Brown was one of those coaches who usually (not always, but usually) kept the basketball program relevant on the national stage. Every once in awhile had a great run, but never had past the Final Four. LSU never had it that good since.

Hope that 20 years from now we aren't saying the same thing about the football program and Miles.
