No, Trump was duly elected by voters but Orgeron was hastily selected by one person.

I think it had everything to do with keeping Aranda, and bringing in a legit offense coordinator.

"He was forced to hire O"

Say what?? I forced JA to hire a DL coach with a highly questionable HC resume??

I am afraid Joe's gonna have to carry that call all alone.....good or bad.

It's not that every intelligent sports fan loves O. It's that the new GM model is very appealing. Have a figure head that makes $2-3M that stays out of the play calling and hire the very best OC and DC in the game.

I wonder if this pitch will work for me if I apply for the CEO position at Google. My qualifications are shite but I'll only ask for $1.5m a year, that's like $188m less than the guy they have now and I'll use what they don't pay me to hire the best assistants and let them do all the decision making.

Yup, it's his own Waterloo for better or worse. I really hope our fans can get behind O though.

Lmao...most of us who know football? I played football on scholarship and coached it for 25 years. I'm sure you think I don't know what I'm talking about either, because I fully expect Lsu to have a damn good team this year with O. Troll away loser.

You really are an arrogant pos. This much I know, people like you, non objective, knows it all, can't be reasoned with....your type doesn't make it very far in leadership roles. It takes intelligence, objectiveness, personality, work ethic, and being open to knew ideas. Obviously, you know it all and closed mind. Have a good day.

You losers circle like vultures trying to find a thread to jump in and shite on O and LSU. It truly is pathetic. Miserable lives you guys have...that's all you wake up for.

Herman didn't want to be here, and we all knew that Jimbo wasn't going to leave an already successful and highly regarded program. I love Coach O and I am not a fan of Alleva, but our fan base once again handcuffed him. He was almost forced to hire coach O because our fans pretty openly campaigned to have him hired permanently. Just like they did after the A&M game two years ago that handcuffed him to keeping Les around for another year.

I mean this is pretty spot on whether or not yall want to admit it. To pretend like Alleva had the opportunity to choose Herman over O is just patently false. He was always going to Texas.

Bottom line is it was a risky hire. I like Coach O but I would have been more pleased if we would've hired someone like Fisher. I wasn't sold on Herman. I think he would've been as much of a risk as O. I like Coach o's philosophy of letting his coordinators do their thing but he has a lot to prove. I hope he does well and proves a lot of people wrong. If he can recruit well and keep great coordinators he should have this team competing for national titles. Time will tell.

I can vouch for Kedwards having coaching experience.
Those of you who know me recognize that I am an NFL Hall of Fame coach whose knowledge is not to be taken lightly....

Yeah southern guy, you nailed that one...I don't shite on the coaches and players, until they deserve it, so that makes me a pos troll right. Lmao.

I'm highly educated, 51, retired....season tickets for over 2 decades. I'm sure I'm not as successful as you, especially grammatically, but hey, I still have time.

You seem to be the know-it-all. You deride everyone that doesn't agree with you.

I get what you are saying but is more of an indictment on Alleva's leadership than anything else..

Lol...how dare I take offense to a loser calling LSU's coach horrible, without giving him a chance. The nerve of me right. I guess I could lead a miserable, glass half empty type of life, like you. I choose to be positive, however, and give O an opportunity. Too bad you can't...but that makes me a bad guy...lol
