Can't win it every year but did we lose too much from last year? Is Ranaudo that big a part of the pitching staff? Still early but just not looking to good getting drubbed two home series in a row.

Hitting still needs to gel and we don't have dominate pitchers to hold down the fort while they do so.

How long do us idiots have to wait? 18 games under our belt and the start of the sec sch should be long enough

At least until the end of the second game of the series before it's called a drubbing. But I guess if some of you truly need to scratch your itch, there's really no waiting necessary.

Wait till halfway through second play, then ask.

its a long season.

if the pitching is in shape in the long run, that is the key. If the rotation is strong during the SEC tournament, they will cruise into the NCAA first round tournament with home games.

Remember, these guys are young. The major leagues have a zillion rounds, because no one can figure out who is going to develop.

LSU teams can't seem to put together back to back great seasons.

They have time to turn it around. Just expected a better start. Might have something do do with football and basketball teams blowing a$$ last seasons.

What's wrong with them is that they play in a sport in which slumps are normal and early season struggles don't mean much.

Pitching is weak without AR. There isn't strong middle relief and Ross is not consistent as a starter.

The bats...well they won't ever come around until the guys learn to go to the opposite way and not try to pull every pitch. Keeping their head in would be another great improvement

Take this into account:

We lost Schimpf, DJ, Coleman, Ochinko, and Jared Mitchell.

Then we lost 3 top pitchers that went to the pros and a first rounder that also went pro.

Sorry, but the talent has just dropped off a bit. (I still think we are a super regional type team, but I just don't see a repeat).

Yes he is. Dude is 1st round talent and will pretty much put you in position to win every time he steps on the mound. We do not have another pitcher like that on this team.

He sure is our #1 but it's not softball. He can't pitch every inning. Some of thes guys gotta nut it up and take up the slack. Either that or outscore somebody
