Was walking in his apt. with candy/food in his hand. Tripped and fell causing a sprain, no broken bones, but a bad injury. Needs to heal about 7-10 days. The TV commentator on ESPNU provided this information tonight.

Looks like a fractured wrist soft cast would
Not play till maybe if we make Omaha ?
Could be hairline fracture how long till it heals?

If he fell on to an outstretched arm then he more than likely strained his wrist flexors and potentially cracked his radius.....pretty much will hurt like hell to throw a ball or wear a glove. I didn't catch which arm the splint was on.

Obviously didn't hurt him too bad Tuesday because he played after the injury and he played well.

I guess I should not speculate I'm glad it's just a sprain.

Typical baseball player injury. Not saying it wasn't bad luck, just baseball players always seem to come up with the most freakish ways of hurting themselves.
