Is it worth going to? Never been but considering it. Talk me into it because right now I don't see how it can be fun.

The Wally Pontiff tribute video is enough to make it worth attending.

It's better when we play Southern Miss. Their fans are a hoot.

Random question related to the Pontiff Classic. How is it decided who the opponent will be each year?

It's a baseball game. Do you like baseball games? If so, then go to the damn game! LOL

I've always enjoyed them. All chair back seats and you can drink beer so that's a plus

Is the berm in right center open for this game? I'd like to sit out there but I can't find anywhere that's selling tickets for it.

I used to go every year. Two years ago we left Baton Rouge at 4:00 for a 7 PM first pitch. It took us over an hour just to get from the I-10 exit in Metairie to Zephyr Field. I didn't get to my seat until the second inning. The parking was horrible. Had to park on the road over by the Saints practice facility.

I won't go back....

I live in BR and have been the last few years. More of a Regionals atmosphere because of the big crowd. Really looking forward to seeing us beat USL again tomorrow.

It's an LSU baseball game. If you're an LSU fan, and have to be talked into going, then just don't go. It's a great atmosphere every year, but even more so when we play ULL. I go every year, and always have a good experience. Not to mention, the game is for charity, and the weather is supposed to be awesome tomorrow.

If you go for the "fun", then you miss the point.

Some years are more "FUN" than others. Wins, losses, you know, the fun vs not fun stuff!

So either get in the spirit of going to honor a great Tiger and a great cause , or don't bother going.

It's really not very complicated.

This doesn't really make sense. An hour drive to the exit plus "over an hour" to get to the stadium doesn't add up to the ~3.5 hours of leaving BR to getting to your seat by the second inning. Regardless, what does this have to do with the actual game, unless you are saying it was responsible for the traffic?
