I'm guessing slightly less disappointment but still general unhappiness.

I'm sorry but we paid him north of $1M back then which at the time meant we knew it was an investment in his future. We're paying Ed $3M which today means we know we're getting a bargain.

Saban had actually been a successful coordinator in the nfl and had been a hc at 2 jobs. This isn't the same

I was happy as frick when he was hired. A guy who already was being mentioned for NFL jobs and being called a defensive guru? You must be a retard good ole boy if you didn't love him back then.

I was happy because I knew he was a defensive coach, but to be honest, I knew little about him. Almost the entire fan base was like, "WHO?" when we hired him. His name wasn't mentioned at all with the names being tossed around at the time.

Saban was already being touted for NFL jobs. The revisionist history regarding Saban's hire to make people feel better about being stuck with Miles and now O is hilarious.

Rouge: "WTF. You have Mark Richt right freaking there and did not pull the trigger. I cannot believe this shite. Anyone know where I can get a good price on some Birkenstocks?"

I was happy with the Saban hire. He reeked of competence after the nightmare 90s.

I remember when Saban was hired everybody was elated and though LSU hit a home run.

Saban was almost Payton Manning coach at Indy. He was the Colts first choice before he declined and they hired Mora.

You cant put miles and o in the same sentence. Miles turned a shite program into a respectable program and had been an offensive coordinator. Ed orgeron has never ran a successful offense, defense or program.

Yeah. But Herman's resume is far better than Orgeron's.

At least Saban was a head coach when hired.
