I can't even imagine what that would be like in stadium (that is, assuming that LF7 doesn't take it to the house on that first play).

LSU fans hate every play that doesn't get a first down or touchdown....because they're stupid

I think we throw the ball 6 straight times to open the game. After a 1-6 start and back to back 3 and outs, we revert back to running up the gut for the remainder of the game.

If it gains 5(+) yards, no problem.

Probably depends on if it's stuffed or not.

ETA: I don't think it's unreasonable to ram it down their throats as long as they can't stop it.

Or, you know, he could take it for a 5-yard gain and everyone would be good with that too.

If you didn't think to start the game the toss-dive left followed by the short-side option left, the two most criticized and microcosmic plays of the Les Miles tenure, was a big middle finger to the fanbase then you are more dense than previously thought.

is it too much to ask for a few more drag routes shallow throughout the game?

I don't care about the first play. I care about what the first quarter is like. And the second quarter.

I could tell by the end of the first quarter last week that the season was going to be a total waste. I've never felt that before. It was ridiculous.

Nothing at all had changed.

it could be a half hearted play option with the pass 5 feet over the head of the WR and the DB that was well out of position intercept it and take it to the house.

imagine that melt, huh?

The first play is not the issue, it is the continued stupid arse follow up plays.

Last week, why did they run an option and a QB draw after that?? The continued failure in the plays that could be scripted is maddening. Those plays never make any sense.

There's no such thing as a toss dive.
