What will it take to get Myles Brennan on the field for legitimate PT?

Will it be after a loss only? Losing after half? I just don't think he can sit behind Etling during any real struggle.

Geez, tough crowd. LOL

Tell me, why do you think it is a good idea to put a true fish with 0 starts in a game which we are in jeopardy of losing?

Really? The dude got a 5 minute drive against BYU and 3+ drives against UTC that totaled over 17.5 minutes.

He's played for like 22.5 minutes of our 120 minutes so far this season. That's significant time for a true freshman QB in no competition.

It is truly stunning how the most popular guy on any football team is the backup quarterback, no matter what. Tom Brady could be playing for LSU right now and people would still be asking "what is it going to take to get this old bastard out of here and put the fresh out of high school in at a critical point in the game?"

If Etling looks like he did against Alabama in the first half of that game this year, I would think Myles could get in in the second half.

People obviously don't remember Lee and the damages that can happen when you throw a freshman in a intense situation and him lose his confidence. Then it'll be added pressure because 100,000 fans at the games will be calling for his head. Threads on forums all about how terrible this 18 year old is. Etc etc.

If the team loses a game, people just want to be able to come back and say "I knew Etling (or whoever is QBing) wasn't good enough. Look, I posted it here."

If the true freshman gets "legitimate playing time" something has gone wrong. Why would you want that?

Enough of the backup QB needs to pay threads. They're extremely stupid.

Coach O has it plain enough. MB has the talent but he is not ready to play SEC football. The kid was not an early admit & has had little actual practice time beyond Fall camp.

He is getting legitimate playing time.
And he is getting a good amount of PT.

He's played more early snaps then any other back ups in recent memory I bet.

This...and keep in mind Brandon Harris was allowed to go all Brandon Harris for a full season before they even thought about yanking him.

Etling will have to be hurt for Brennan to get meaningful snaps this year.
