LSU has a very young D so I understand that part of this season but it has an extremely talented team this year on offense so what's the reason for LSU allowing itself to be in such a funk right now when this offense was playing so well against Aub, Miss St, and GA.

If you know the why then you will know the how, and how to get LSU out of this funk is important for the players and LSU's image. Time for players to show their stripes, show that LSU's not in decline.

I don't see this LSU team, the one in the funk, capable of even staying close to Alabama or the Aggies. In fact this team would suffer a major embarrassment at the hands of both sec teams, giving credibilty to others who would claim of a decline at LSU.

But the LSU before the funk, that LSU team was downright scary and nasty. That LSU's team play is the reason so many are dedicated to wearing the purple and gold. That LSU team is reflective of other teams, strong LSU teams that fight hard and bow down to no one. For LSU players its time to get up off your rears and start pushing others on theirs, you're Tigers not kittens.

This won't be fixed by getting the team out of a "funk." The only team that we've beaten so far that has less than 3 losses is Auburn. We've lost to two teams that have three losses despite beating us.

This year's team just isn't that good. Miles hasn't had a top five recruiting class in a while and the 2012 class really left a hole.

2 Sr's
5 JR's
3 soph
1 fresh

That's not a young defense. Inexperienced, but not young.

A bye week and some time to regain our focus and composure?

I want to see Les Miles with a Saban intensity. Kick arse nationally in recruiting without the recruiting holes at key positions. I want to see miles go off on himself and coaches and even players just like he did to the reporter two weeks ago.

How about beating average teams like Georgia and Ole Piss?

This or get someone who can. Otherwise, accept mediocrity

Miles has an intensity and toughness that has been brought out at times and LSU players who saw it performed well. He really needs to show that now.

How about Verge not scheduling 9 straight games. That could help the funk. He should receive associate AD the year award from the rest of the SEC.

We don't have the REC or the friends in right places to pull this off. Say what you want, what Bama is doing in recruiting, has never been done without help. Look at USCw and Reggie Bush. Saban will have a 30 for 30 on him and his tactics one day...
Live in that state for 1 year and you will truly understand the "win at all cost " mentality.

Georgia was a top 3 team until they had injuries to like an entire starting 11.

We should've had a bye week BEFORE Ole Miss.

The first half against Furman shows the funk is here to stay.

Someone needs their rear chewed out for this, LSU needed a bye after the Fla game.

Les pointed out LSU had played the most games without a bye, but he didn't really shove anyone under the bus. I believe he needs to, this was so fricken amateurish.
