What were your baseball expectations for 2017?

I knew we would be young at the plate, but thought our pitching would carry us. I figured we'd win quite a few 2-1, 1-0 type of games. Turns out that couldn't be further from the truth.
I certainly thought we would host a super with a good chance to make it to Omaha with Lange and Poche.

Based on the fact we returned 8 of 9 batters in the lineup, 2/3 rotation pitchers and our closer and that we were a national seed last year....at minimum a CWS appearance

Honestly thought it would be one of our better teams in the past decade. Omaha bound at minimum.

Omaha. Last year's team hosted a super after losing 8 starters.

Depended on pitching. Based on what we've seen I couldn't expect anymore W's. Although, under CPM they always seem to light it up around 3/4 of the season until the Regionals no matter what the record is....so there is a chance they get hot soon.

Omaha or bust. Not exaggerating. This team had little change from last year. This was the year to make a run. Huge letdown so far. Still holding out hope that the hitting and pitching come around and start to click at the same time, but that window is closing fast.

-Win at least 20 SEC games.
-Host Regional and SR
Making Omaha almost a certainty. With experienced pitching and returning starters. Also, the team would be hungry and experienced in PostSeason play.
Today: probably a 2 seed in someone else's regional.
Today: only 27 Wins on the season.
