Inconsistency.
We will play flat 2 or 3 times a year ( Troy, Miss St., Fla last year) and then play to our full potential a few times a year (Auburn, Lousville last year). We will still lose to Bama every year.
If he can keep recruiting up at a Les Miles level we will lose 3 or 4 games a year.
If recruiting starts to dip we will lose 5 or more games a year.
What we see is what we got. Think Gerry DiNardo

So will about 98% of all other college football teams.

Of course. Which is also one reason we fired Miles.

Les got fired over stubbornness. The old "attack their strength" philosophy.

It’s too early for us to really know that. I’m cautiously optimistic opposed to being negative about our coaching staff and the program in general right now because I want to enjoy LSU football and the big wins that we do get.

He probably doesn't, but he's also not the one making a thread saying stupid shite. Why can't you give a reason for your line of thinking when asked?

LSU will highly likely not win even a division title under O unless the SEC West just completely goes to crap.

Depending on how the Coordinators work out, if either leaves and forces LSU to once again have an identity shift, LSU will continue to struggle.

O has no identity as a head coach for his team or style of play. He has no say in the offense or defense anymore apparently, so he is literally a wasted salary paid to do almost nothing.

That said, people were trying to excuse the poor play for most of the year with "lack of talent" to cover up for Orgeron's poor coaching. In the end, we have plenty of talent, but chances are it will not live up to its potential with a coach who knows almost nothing outside of one position like O.

I hope he proves me wrong though.

What a terrible thread. Bold claim with nothing to back it up. Post less

You have no argument against it idiot. You just made a pointless arse thread, that can not be proven either way.

I don't think Oregeron is ultimately going to work out as the football coach of LSU, but there isn't shite I can do about it. I'm not going to sit here and make a stupid arse thread to try to take a shot at him, especially after winning against a top 10 team.

I'm not here to defend O, but you have to take a more critical look at the circumstances.

I think a lot of folks realized the defense had issues with injuries on the DL and busted assignments from the younger players. We got exposed by Miss St and were unable to adjust. It was also very clear that Guice was not 100%, the OL had issues, WRs were still learning and players were not comfortable with Canada's scheme yet. The Troy game, if O tinkered with the offense, was on him. Again the D was subpar.

Bama? They are where they are for a reason. 99% of the CFB world is in the same boat. As the defense develops it will challenge Bama like they did last year. The question will be what Canada can do to get offensive production against the Tide.

quote:

If he can keep recruiting up at a Les Miles level we will lose 3 or 4 games a year. If recruiting starts to dip we will lose 5 or more games a year.

Next season we add Fehko and Shelvin to a line with a healthy Lawrence and Alexander. This may be the best DL we've had in years. White will be back with a D full of talented sophmores.

The WRs are learning and Brennan will be great. Without a dominant RB I suspect we shift more to a spread O.

I'm not going to gloss over the HC's deficiencies, but I'm excited to see this team play in 2018 and from what I've read on the RB from some of the people have better recruiting insight I'm not worried about recruiting going forward. We had a huge list of recruits at the Auburn game. I'm sure they were impressed.
