05-Miami
06-Notre Dame
07-Ohio state
That's when LSU football was at its pinnacle, beating the arse of all time greats.

2007 sugar bowl
Went to this game with my cousin who got so drunk that he thought the Notre Dame fan sitting next to us was a priest. After each touchdown he asked him for forgiveness and would do the sign of the cross.

Either of the games where we stomped on Notre Dame's vagina.
I also have really fond memories of watching LSU dominate the second half of the 2000 Peach Bowl en route to beating a highly favored GT team. During the post-game trophy presentation, the bowl commissioner said that he would love to see us back in Atlanta for the SECCG the following year. It was a throwaway gracious statement. But lo and behold, we won the damn SEC the next season. Great times to be an LSU fan. The program was a streaking meteor headed for championships. You could feel it.
P.S. Josh Reed practically levitated to catch a touchdown in the second half of that Peach Bowl.

1985 Liberty Bowl LSU vs Baylor. Game sucked and nearly froze my a$$, but had the pleasure of defrosting a Golden Girl after the game.

That 2001(02) sugar bowl was my favorite too. Nobody gave us a chance and we demolished em. It snowed in Baton Rouge that might too.

Didn't get to watch the 05 beat down of the U because I was busy as shite in my restaurant kitchen working. Got tickets to the championship in 07, but gave them to my youngest step daughter and her husband. Glad I did because she died of cancer 4 years later. She became a lsu fan because of me, bless her heart.

'87 Gator was epic. My ol man bet me grass cutting (one acre with a push) for the following summer that So Car would beat us. Hodson to Davis was magical. The "Black Death defense" had no answer. Qb Todd Eillis felt pain.
2000 peach- was there
2001 sugar- long big bowl drought
2005 peach- sitting in the middle of the 3rd qtr mass exodus of Vinny's and Rico's

Independence Stadium • Shereveport, La.
December 28, 1997 (50,459)
Rondell Mealey electrified a frigid Independence Bowl
crowd with a 222-yard rushing performance to pace LSU
to a convincing 27-9 win over Notre Dame, avenging a loss
to the Irish during the regular season. Mealey subbed for
starter Kevin Faulk who was injured early in the game, and
didn't miss a beat. The teams exchanged field goals early
before the LSU touchdown surge began. Scott Cengia hit
field goals of 33 and 21 yards for the Irish in the first half
while Wade Richey booted a 37-yarder for a 6-3 Notre
Dame lead at the half. Richey added a 42-yarder early in
the second half before LSU's Herb Tyler hit Abram Booty
with a 12-yard scoring strike for a 13-6 Tiger lead. Cengia
hit one more field goal, a 33-yarder early in the fourth
quarter, but the Irish would score no more. Mealey
scored twice in the final period on runs of two and one
yard to send LSU to victory.

Sugar against Notre Dame was awesome as was the Illinois game. The independence bowl against Notre Dame was my favorite because it was my first bowl game and such a special thing for a tiger fan back then. The cotton bowl a few years ago was fun to watch as well.

My wife and I we're moving, and the house wasn't ready so we stayed with my in-laws for a night. After getting a shower after a LONG day of moving, I settled in to bed to watch some TV. I tuned into a bowl game, and it looked like it was being played in a blizzard..it took a few seconds to realize it was LSU..in Shreveport.

1964 ('66?) Cotton Bowl - beat Arkansas then of the old SW conference; ended their 22 game win streak, 14-7.
1965 Sugar Bowl - beat a very strong, star-laden Syracuse team.
Inaugural Peach Bowl Tigers beat FSU, I think it was 1967
('69?).

I was there. 9:1 USC fans. They were pretty confident that the black death defense was gonna shut Hodson and Davis down. They were wrong!
