Be honest. What would you prefer?

Win, let's say, 7-8 games total, but all of them are extremely ugly.

or

Lose out.

Why? What's better for the future of the program?

All I know is I want us to beat Florida and I don't think it's impossible.

Be careful. A similar thread got whacked.

Personally I’d be happy with Alleva gone this year. That shouldn’t take a certain w/l record at this point.

Do you have to work at being stupid, or does it just come naturally?

Winning > Losing

I think I speak for a large majority of people on this board when I say there is a difference between expecting to lose because we have O and hoping we lose because we have O. We expect to lose because we believe he isn't cut out for the job. If he rights the ship somehow, I think that would be great. I see no data points to make me think he is capable of that, though.

Lose out = B.O.S. determines it would actually be more financially haphazard to keep Orgeron and Alleva rather than pay their respective buyouts and start from scratch

Win a few games ugly = stick with the status quo and watch things crumble slowly over the next year or two due to optics

THat said, I could never actively cheer against LSU. But I wouldn't lose sleep if the slide continued and Orgeron GTFO

You always want to win. Even if you go 7 - 5 and get to a crappy bowl, the extra practice for younger players is worth it. And team has not become completely irrelevant.
AL and AU are high probable losses.
Rest of them - all the teams are bad. Depends on who is the worse on that particular Saturday.

I've never once wanted LSU to do badly, but I don't want any positives for coach O and Alleva after the season. I personally believe that LSU will have to bite the bullet at the end of the year and somehow get rid of Coach O. If Alleva isn't gone at the end of the year expect many people not to show up to many games next year.

The best scenario is the one where we don't go 3-9.

I'm not sure what you're inferring. I've made no judgements. Its a simple question.

Some would prefer to win no matter how ugly it is.

Some would prefer to lose out because they believe it betters the chances of getting rid of certain people.

How about a discussion?

I'm an LSU alum and fan; I want the team to win out. I mean, what else would anyone want if they really are a fan, and not a miserable a-hole?

I was at the Troy game and the stadium was about 60% full. You can expect many people not to show up THIS YEAR if LSU doesn't beat Florida.

I've been around LSU football for nearly 18 years now. I've never seen the tailgating scene as dead as it was Saturday. It was depressing, and that was before the loss to fricking Troy.

I want this program to begin to attract top talent again. The recruiting has been horrendous the last few years based on what we see this year. That's what I would prefer.

That and Joe freaking Alleva to be shown the door.
