What offensive changes are you most hoping to see vs. BYU?

Guice as the man - both running and receiving?

High tempo offense with lots of formations and shifting?

A respectable passing attack that has to be accounted for by their defense?

A lot to look forward to....September can't get here quick enough!

Guice running in a spread set with less than 9 in the box.

Multiple WR sets with intermediate routes

Would be the biggest improvement by far.

I don't want to be right about which play we will run next.

Misdirection
Keeping the defense off-balance
Attacking their weakness with our strength
Appearing to have a game plan

I thought Steve E did a good job last year btw.

QB not panicking when there is pass rush.

Forward pass
my thought exactly, but ironically, the horizontal pass will be a big part of the strategy.

I expect them not to show every play in in the playbook. Mix it up a little between run/pass. But keep it generic early in the year. When we get later in season I hope to see the passing game come on big time. That should help the Guice with the running game. Last year all the other teams had to do is defend the run.

Throwing on first down.
Seriously, though. Multiple sets. More Rb screens. Increased TE usage. Slip screen. Bubble screen. Waggle. Rb wheel routes. Shovel pass. Reverse. Jet sweep. Hell, maybe even some designed qb draws, bootlegs. Danny isn't Lamar Jackson, but there's a time/place for such plays when set up properly.

I can see it now. Guice runs for 245 yds and 4 TDs with more open space. Then the same people who cursed Miles (with good reason) for not spreading the field to make it easier for the great Fournette will then proclaim that Guice is so much better than Fournette. Lol

But seriously that's what I'm looking forward to the most. More running lanes for our stud RB!

Ill settle for zero delay of game penalties, 50% or better on third down. DE around 15 of 25 for 200+ or better

The utilization of the TE.

A shallow cross in the middle of the field to get our athletes in space.

Short to midrange passing attack.
Unpredictable play calling.
