Already locked?

1 tournament win?

Multiple tournament wins?

I think the 3 seed helps put us in at this time but Vandy, Miss St and S Carolina, Bama can also play themselves into one.

I think 2 and out with a few of those above teams going far in the tourney and we could be on the outside looking in.

Win over Vandy Wednesday and in.

We could also play ourselves into a national seed with a tourney win or runner up. I think sec gets 2 with Florida and the other up for grabs with old miss having inside track.

Damn you think it takes this much for just a regional?

How many do you think the sec gets? National seeds?

Probably at least 2 wins in the tournament, depending on what other teams do, should be good enough to host a regional.

Oh well...

"lock" is thrown around without people realizing what it means.

The Committee has been unpredictable which is why I listed things that seem a little excessive.

SEC probably gets 4 hosts, 2 national seeds. Because the regular season was so bunched up between 2 and 6, the tournament may mean something a little more this year. Also, Arky, Tenn, and A&M need a good showing since they are on the bubble

Depends on who the wins are against

Vandy and OM?

Tenn and A&M?

We could bow out after 2 wins and Louisville and Houston could go 7-1 combined

I'm starting to think that the SEC gets 5 hosts this year.

The ACC has had 5 teams host in each of the last two years. That's good news for SEC since they have the highest conference RPI. #LSU

The last time the SEC had more than 4 regional hosts was 2004 when 6 of its 12 teams hosted. 4 teams have hosted in each of last 2 yrs. #LSU

A lock to host? We probably need to win the tournament to be a lock. I don't think we can be a top 8 seed.

They started announcing the regional hosts after the conference tournaments now, right?

If we win the tourney, we should be the SEC's second national seed (UF)

I honestly won't feel confident unless we make it to the finals.

The SEC will probably get two. UF is pretty much a lock.

If we win the SECT, we would have a pretty strong case.

That would be:

-44-45 wins
- 3rd in SEC season
- SEC tourney champs
- won series AND made it further in tourney than #2 in sec ole miss

I would say just making the finals would put us in strong consideration for the SEC's second national seed, especially if it's UF they lose to in the finals.

I think to be a lock we need to win. If we win a couple games I'd feel pretty good but would really feel better if Wash Oregon Louisville and Houston flop next weekend.

The committee has shown their only predictability is hammering teams with weak OOC schedules.
