Except a lot of people felt happy about JJ's suspension. Lee bailed us out of several games in 2010 with his arm, and I really wanted him to take over in 2011.
Sure it may have not been the best scenario, but it worked out pretty well to start the season.

That may be, but no one can say "I was right. JJ would have lost a game or two". That's fine if you liked Lee for whatever reason and wanted him to take the job in 2011, but to say JJ would have lost if he were playing is completely ignorant, which clearly the guy is given that he tried bashing someone else for doing the exact same thing he did.

The floor IMHO would be 7-5. Even if the wheels come off I can't imagine much worse.

well both UGA and Florida lost great talent to the draft just like us.
All the games we should win would give us eight. Spilt between UGA/UF, and Bama/aTm and we have a 10-2 regular season. Honestly that's my floor because talent alone should get us there.
IF the offense improves like it should under new mgnt.
IF the DE position can show progression.
If Mett has improved on his deep ball, honestly Bama is our only real challenge even in the final BCS NCG.
All the games we should win would give us eight. Spilt between UGA/UF, and Bama/aTm and we have a 10-2 regular season. Honestly that's my floor because talent alone should get us there.

Actually I did. My personal opinion is that LSU finishes at 9-3. So conceding we could lose an additional two games if things go horribly wrong is in keeping with the OP's direct question on LSU's floor.

8 wins is the absolute floor, 9 or 10 are highly likely and 11 is probable. Obviously, we know the issues:
Alabama
Florida
SEC-CG (if we get there)
Bowl Game
Are the only games where it could be in question as to whether we would be favored against the opponent.
Could Miss. State make noise? Certainly. Auburn and UGA, back-to-back? That could be a big problem.
A&M and Arkansas at the end? That's a tough row to hoe. But that's the reality of playing in the SEC, particularly in the SEC-W.
I mean, Bama has to play Kentucky and Tennessee from the East - how's THAT going to prepare them to play us, the SEC-CG (if they get there) or the big game, for that matter?

3) The seasons mentioned above, along with 05, 06, and 2010 two-loss seasons comprise of 5 of the 10 best seasons in the 100+ year history of LSU football. Get some fricking perspective before making snide "two loss Les" comments as if that's a bad thing.
